Adult Summer Reading 2017
Join us for our adult summer reading program! There are several ways to join in on the fun:
Read, Rate & Win!
From June 12 - July 22, rate and/or review the books you read to win weekly prizes. Pick up a review sheet(s) from the library or download and print your own here. Return as many as you'd like -- each week we'll randomly draw one winner for a prize from a local business.
Play Book Bingo!
Starting June 12, you can play Book Bingo! Pick up a bingo card at the library and fill in the boxes as you read this summer. Try to get 5 in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally, or go for the blackout card! Completed cards can be turned in through August 31. We'll randomly draw three bingo winners and one grand prize blackout winner at the end of the summer.
Summer Book Discussion
Build a better world with a book! We'll be reading A Path Appears by Nicholas Kristof & Sheryl WuDunn, and you can join us for a book discussion on Wednesday, July 19 at 1 pm. Copies of the book will be available to check out at the library.
We have several ongoing programs for adults at the library, listed below. To keep up to date on special programs such as author visits, educational programs, craft nights, etc. please keep an eye on our calendar or subscribe to our newsletter!
Knit & Crochet Club
Meets the 1st Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. - noon. This is an informal club for working on projects, socializing, and sharing ideas & patterns. Bring your projects, and we'll have coffee, company, and great selection of knitting and crochet books for you to browse. No sign up - just join us when you can!
Food for Thought Book Club
Book 'Em Mystery Book Club
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., September through May. Books may be picked up at the library -- we usually have copies of the upcoming book available about a month before the book club meets. Newcomers are always welcome!
