Summer Book Club

Calling all adults to escape the ordinary and get inspired this summer by reading about extraordinary people!  Read stories about some of “America's generation of citizen heroes and heroines who came of age during the Great Depression and the Second World War and went on to build modern America” in Tom Brokaw’s The Greatest Generation and discuss your favorite(s) on June 29 at 6:30 pm.  Or, read about Wisconsin’s own hero Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi in When pride still mattered: a life of Vince Lombardi by David Maraniss and discuss his story on July 20 at 6:30pm. Both events will take place in the Community Room at the Altoona Public Library, 1303 Lynn Avenue, Altoona, WI.
