Join us for a variety of poetry activities to get your creative juices flowing during National Poetry Month! Featured projects are: Cut out poetry, roll-a-poem, picture poetry, black out poetry and more. Meet other people interested in poetry, share your work (not required), and have fun all while creating poetry.

Patron Appreciation Day

Join us for Patron Appreciation Day!   We appreciate our community and our patrons every day, and have set aside a day during National Library Week to officially thank you.  Come on in all day and enjoy some snacks, baked goods, free coffee and a chance to win some door prizes.  We appreciate you!

Around the World in 80 Days

Join us for a night of learning, exploring, and fun! We will have activities, food, and games based on different places and cultures from around the world. All you need to pack is your sense of adventure and a friend!

May 2-7, for every one non perishable food item you bring in, get $1 off your fines!  Give back to the community while getting rid of your fines. The food will be donated to the Altoona Compassion Coalition.

Summer Reading Program Picnic

End of the Summer Reading Program Picnic in the Community Room for all Reading Program Participants and their Families.

Kevin's Juggling and Balloons will provide a balloon twist for each reading program participant.

Mixed Nuts Comedy Show

A silly and interactive undercover-clown comedy show targeting 3-9 year olds and their families.
