Toddler Tales
For children 18 months – 2 years and their parents.
Mondays or Tuesdays 10:30 a.m. – 10:50 a.m.

PJ Story Night
Recommended for families with children ages 2-7 years.
6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Children may come dressed in their PJs with a favorite stuffy. No sign up required.
Meets the 2nd Thursdays of the month.
Winter/Spring 2026 dates: January 8th, February 12th, March 12th, April 9th, May 14th

Preschool Story Time
For children ages 3-5 years who are able to independently sit for a 30-minute session.
Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. OR 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Learn How to Play the Ukulele! 5-week Multi-Generational Course for Students in Grade 4+ & ALL Interested Adults
Learn How to Play the Ukulele at Altoona Public Library!
Join Nicole Cook, a local teacher and performer, for this fun introduction to the Ukulele. This is a laid-back, fun learning experience. This 5-week class will start with basic chords, strumming, and tuning. Get that ukulele out of the closet and bring it along. If you don’t have an instrument, we’ll provide one for the first 12 people who sign up for the class. You’ll be ready to jump in at any local jam when we’re through. Perfect for students in grade 4+ and any adult interested in learning.
This class will be offered on Thursdays 4-5 pm: February 5th, 12th, 19th – take 1 week break for extra at-home practice – and then resume in-person lessons March 5th and 12th.Required registration begins January 12th. Stop by the library or call 715-839-5029 to reserve your spot. When registering, please indicate whether or not you need an instrument or if you’re bringing your own.
