The Eau Claire Area Research Center: An Essential Resource for Altoona History with Greg Kocken, UW-Eau Claire Archivist
Saturday, April 25th @ 10:00 a.m.
Altoona Public Library, Community Room
The Eau Claire Area Research Center, an affiliate of the Wisconsin Historical Society, is a distinctive resource for local history research. The research center’s holdings include unique archival materials and vital public records. These materials help us to understand the stories of people, places, businesses, and organizations that shaped, and continue to shape, our communities. Together, we will explore some materials that bring “Cinder City” to life. A few treasures, including maps and railroad records, from the research center’s holdings will also be on display.
