Join us and guest author, Angela Roloson, for a book reading, signing and Q&A session.
Angela Roloson is a cancer survivor, wife, mother, and grandmother who lives in west central Wisconsin with her husband, their two dogs and three cats. She taught high school English for 28 years, most recently in Altoona, and following retirement embarked on a career as an author.
At age 46, Author Angela Roloson found herself facing her own mortality. Angela, a single mom and a high school English teacher, received the news no one wants to hear: “You have cancer.” This was not the first difficult fight she had faced, and that merging of two challenging battles is what makes this cancer memoir different from others.
It is through the lens of recovery from alcoholism that Angela shares her inspiring story of the lessons she learned from her cancer journey. With honesty and with humor, Angela takes readers into the world of surgeries and chemotherapy, of trauma and anxiety, and of hope and resilience.
This memoir is an important read for anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer or watched a loved one battle the disease. More than that, though, this book is for anyone who has ever faced a challenge that seemed insurmountable for it is through adversity that we experience the most potential for growth.
