If the snow and wind get as treacherous as predicted, it is highly likely that the Altoona Public Library will close early on Wednesday (2/22/23), and all day on Thursday (2/23/23). The library will be open on Wednesday morning (February 22nd), but we will be monitoring the weather all day so that staff and patrons can leave before travel becomes impossible on Wednesday afternoon into the evening.
If you plan on coming to the library on Wednesday (2/22/23) please call us at 715.839.5029 to confirm that we are open. In the event the library closes due to weather, we will post on our website and social media pages as well. Please pick up any items you may have on the hold-shelf as soon as you can and be sure to stock up on reading materials in case you are snowed in!
